Description:
Colombia Pink Bourbon – Agazu is a remarkable example of Colombia’s innovation in coffee cultivation and processing. Sourced from select micro-lots in Huila, this coffee is produced by smallholder farmers working with Agazu, a collective focused on high-altitude, traceable, and experimental varietals.
Pink Bourbon is a rare hybrid of Yellow and Red Bourbon, known for its vibrant acidity, aromatic complexity, and fruit-forward cup. Grown at elevations above 1,800 meters, these cherries develop slowly, allowing for greater sugar concentration and nuanced flavors. After harvesting, the beans undergo fully washed fermentation, carefully monitored to bring out their signature brightness and floral clarity.
In the cup, you can expect a burst of raspberry and lychee, with crisp lime zest on the front end. Notes of jasmine and panela (cane sugar) emerge as the coffee cools, supported by a silky, tea-like texture and clean, elegant finish.
Why this Pink Bourbon stands out for specialty-focused businesses:
-
Unique varietal, standout profile: Eye-catching both on the menu and in the cup, with flavor clarity that elevates your filter or signature drink offering.
-
Farm-level distinction: A rare Colombian micro-lot with full traceability and a compelling origin story to share with your guests.
-
Roasting versatility: Expressive in both light and medium roast levels, with high potential for competition or premium seasonal features.
