Kenya Kifaru Aa, 1000g
Kenya Kifaru AA is a premium coffee grown in the highlands of Kenya, renowned for its unique climate and soil conditions that are perfectly suited for producing high-quality Arabica beans. This variety carries the proud name "Kifaru," which means "rhinoceros" in Swahili, symbolizing the strength and uniqueness of this coffee.
Origin and Variety
Kenya Kifaru AA is cultivated at an altitude of 1,500–2,100 meters above sea level in some of Kenya's most famous coffee-growing regions, such as Central Province and Nyeri. The "AA" grade refers to the highest quality of Kenyan coffee, with beans selected based on their size (the largest and most uniform beans) and exceptional processing. The high altitude, rich volcanic soils, and unique climate create ideal conditions for growing this exceptional coffee variety.
Taste and Aroma
Kenya Kifaru AA is known for its bright and vibrant flavor profile with a characteristic acidity that brings freshness and liveliness to each cup. The aroma is filled with notes of citrus, black currant, and subtle hints of caramel, making it particularly appealing to those who enjoy fruity and sweet coffee profiles. The coffee has a medium body with a well-balanced aftertaste that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
Perfect for
This coffee is ideal for your morning brew, providing an energizing start to the day. Thanks to its vibrant acidity and rich flavor, it is perfect for brewing with a drip coffee maker or French press. Kenya Kifaru AA also excels in filter coffee preparation, as its purity and complexity are revealed through this brewing method.
Processing Characteristics
The coffee undergoes a washed (wet) processing method, which helps preserve its clean flavor and accentuates the aromatic nuances. Each bean is carefully inspected for quality, ensuring uniformity and exceptional consistency in every batch.
Brewing Recommendations
To fully bring out the coffee’s flavor notes, it is recommended to use a filter brewing method or pour-over at a water temperature of around 92°C. The extraction time should be around 3-4 minutes for filter coffee or French press. This method strikes a perfect balance between the coffee's bright acidity and sweetness, creating an unforgettable coffee experience.
Kenya Kifaru AA is more than just coffee—it's a true taste of Africa, transporting you to the heart of Kenya with every sip.
